Buying smart

In the supermarket there is an immense variety of products that say “made with fresh vegetables,” “low fat,” “100% natural products”; but they don’t stop being chips or pastas and if you read the label they have the same calories as the regular product, they only change in the color they have.

Beware of this type of food that only deceives people because they have a high calorie content and claim to be healthy and in reality they are not. Many people believe the false message that these chips or children’s snack are made with real carrots, but in reality only artificial colors and flavors are used. Some people think that it is true because it is clearly specified in the package.

Another product that has many tricks that deceive people into thinking they are the best choice for healthy eating is packaged fruits or in syrup, as these contain sugar and preservatives. So, don’t think it’s better to give your family tangerines, pears or apples that come in a glass or jar with a sweetened juice, instead of peeling the fruit yourself and cutting it to offer it fresh to your family.

Don’t be fooled by the lies they use to make a product sell as “healthy,” stay informed about the nutritional value of all products so no one can cheat you.
