Tips to have a healthy economy

FOR COMPANIES:

* Take care of clients. Whether that be the attention that is given to them, or the money that is invested in them.

* Reduce costs. Be aware of expenditures on:

  1. Light, business phone, cell phone, paperwork, etc.

  2. Trips: reduce them as much as possible and control expenditures.

  3. Take care of assets in the company: cars, photocopiers, computers, printers, central phones, air conditioning, etc.

  4. Sell more: invest in new clients and sell more to current ones.

FOR PEOPLE:

* Take care of jobs. Have the right attitude every day, be more productive and efficient, avoid wasting time on social networks (internet, Facebook, Twitter, etc).

* Reduce the level of personal expenditures. Try not to spend on things that are not primary necessities.

* Save as much as possible. This becomes even more important given the current level of uncertainty.

* Keep money in the bank. Bank savings are insured by the government. Having your money under the mattress, with a friend or in some savings box does not necessarily bring this guarantee.

* Reduce debts as much as possible, particularly those that are on variable interest and can’t be fixed.

* Analyze tax rates that you are paying for your debts. If you need support, consult with people that can advise you adequately. Understand the difference between using a credit card and going into debt because of a credit card. The first case is one where you use a credit card and pay it back in full every month. The second case is one where you use the card that the bank or department store gives you and you pay interest because you don’t manage to pay your credit in full every month.

* Don’t take out new credit cards or store cards and cancel some.

* In times of crisis, for fixed-rate mortgage credits, when the same fee is paid every month until the end of the loan, it is better not to pay in advance but rather to save the money. It doesn’t mean to stop paying your homes on time.

* Don’t buy offers that have “interest-free months”. If you don’t pay it off at the end of the offer, then you will have a debt with a high rate. The only way to not pay interest is to pay the entire balance that is on the card every month.

* Be careful of loans from other people. It is common that someone close will ask to borrow money. If you manage to do it, ask for some guarantee. Don’t allow someone with many economic problems to drag you as well.

* Stay healthy. Sickness costs money. Get on a diet, drop weight, exercise, reduce smoking and don’t drink alcohol.

* Talk about all of this with your family. It is important that your spouse and children understand it.
