The autumn
The fall harvest season is just around the corner!
In the food stores we can already see apples, pumpkins of various colors, sweet potatoes, fresh and large eggplants, onion, cauliflower, as well as potatoes of different sizes.
Remember that all fresh fruits and vegetables are full of nutrients that help you eat and stay healthy. Try to eat different colors and textures to give your body the variety of vitamins and minerals that we need every day.
If possible, don’t use them from a can, consume them fresh; but remember that even though they look good and clean, you should always disinfect them before using them.
A good recommendation for this season is that we must be prepared with healthy recipes based on the products we have on hand; and better still, if these come from the community gardens or from the harvest of your home or your neighbor's.
For these days, you will have a wide variety of pumpkins or zucchinis that you can take advantage of to prepare a delicious spaghetti. They already sell the manual machines to make the strips at a very accessible cost, but if you don’t have one, use the vegetable stripper or make long and very thin strips with the help of the knife.
Remember that this is a very good opportunity to have an activity with your children.
