We are at the end of February and we are still working against the temptation of the weather, because obviously we are craving for hot drinks only with a high calorie content, because they all come already classified by flavors and that causes the sugar to increase.
It doesn’t matter if you buy an instant coffee from the gas station or if you order it in a prestigious cafeteria, what changes is the price because the content is basically the same. Our recommendation is not for you to abandon the things that you like, but to do it in a healthier way.
Little by little, you can make changes in your habits, keep drinking your coffee, but without extra flavors or perhaps drink one as you like, and substitute the rest with a tea prepared with fresh herbs. You can make a hibiscus tea, or apple with cinnamon, lemon with honey (very good for vitamin C), or peach, etc.
Take the time to think if each food you eat is the healthiest; and if it is not, think about how you can substitute or adapt it to make it healthy.
Another example is the sweet bread that we crave with coffee, so we invite you to replace the 385 calories of the ‘concha’ with a slice of banana and apple with oatmeal bread, 40 calories, which you can easily prepare at home in less than 20 min.
These types of changes will help your body to live healthier.
