Responsibility to society
I had a chance to listen to Jordan B. Peterson talk about his rules for a good life, and I want to share some of his thoughts on Responsibility.
Peterson says that we have a responsibility to society, to make it better. We are NOT just responsible for our own care. In many little ways, we can be responsible for our world.
Here are just a few examples of what you can do:
1. Treat the environment well. Recycle, donate litter.
2. Educate yourself and share your knowledge.
3. Participate in government. Attend a city council meeting or school board meeting; register to vote and do it; and learn about your community.
4. Stand up and be counted... in the upcoming Census “it matters.” Funding for our communities depends upon the population being accurately counted. Make sure that your household participates.
Be a responsible person!
I encourage you all to live your best life and be generous with those around you. That will make this world a better place to live in.
