Dream and Promise Act

As you know, the Trump Administration has ended programs that help many immigrants, such as DACA, TPS and Deferred Enforced Departure. Now, there is some hope in Congress that will restore benefits to those who have been tossed aside by this Administration. The Dream and Promise Act is the first step towards a country where people can live and not be afraid of deportation. The Act, if passed, would protect approximately 1 million people who are currently in the U.S. living in the shadows.

Nancy Pelosi announced today that her party is standing with Dreamers to seek protection and long-term legal immigration status for students and those who have been working for years on Temporary Protected Status - and if this bill passes, there is hope for many who are here, living in the shadows. The hope is that they will finally be able to obtain permanent status and continue to contribute to our communities and government, to our families and businesses. This proposed law is important to me, because I hear the stories of these youth and the parents, and know that our country is better because they are here.

If you can, please call Congress, and urge your representative to support the DREAM AND PROMISE ACT. If the office is supportive, ask that Representative to go a step further and be a co-sponsor on the bill. You can reach US representatives by calling 202-225-3121, and US senators by calling 202-224-3121.

Thank you for taking the time to call and tell your representatives about your DREAMS for a brighter America for ALL.
