The wall

Well, it looks like the tax payers WILL be paying for this Wall, after all. I guess there was really no doubt about it - but the details do matter.
In the compromise bill, there are billions of dollars that are going to be spent to increase security - not just the Wall. Instead of progressives in Congress getting anything positive out of the negotiations in this “deal” for the Dreamers, or those here on TPS, the immigrants here in the U.S. got nothing. No, they got disappointment, and another lesson that it hurts to get your hopes dashed, once again.
I believe that it is going to take many more people voting, speaking out, contributing, running for office, and taking action before we will get positive change.
I am not going to give up hope that people will wake up - I just wish they would hurry up!
For those who want to speak up, it is important to counter the claims (every single time that you hear it), with the truth. The people who are seeking entry at the Southern border are comprised of families and children who are seeking protection. They are not criminals or drug traffickers. They are desperate humans. Every time. Speak the truth.
I encourage you to find a way to take an action for justice - whether it is through your church, your school, your letter-writing abilities, or your phone. Do something today, because if we do not stand up to the injustice, it will just continue to grow. Please get involved.
