“Start a Business” workshop

Do you have an idea for a business? The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce puts on a monthly workshop that guides entrepreneurs through the steps and considerations of starting their own business.

The workshop is bilingual, led by Alad Aguirre and Gabe Munoz. We walk new business owners through the necessary paperwork for filing tax and licensing information. Topics include zoning, legal structures, and local as well as state licenses.

This comprehensive workshop allows members of the community to familiarize themselves with the process and guide their path to a successful business endeavor. In addition to our information, we also provide access to local resources that their city and county governments offer for new businesses.

Above is a picture of our February workshop where we hosted businesses in a variety of fields including construction, catering, and consulting. These new business owners learned all about the process and even made contact among themselves to support each other as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

If you are interested in the workshop or have any questions, please call the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City at (816) 472-6767.
