Temperature continues to drop, as well as record snowfall for the end of autumn (remember that winter starts until Friday, Dec. 21); and with them respiratory diseases also arrive.
For those who work in offices and for those who attend school, flu and pharyngitis are the diseases that are transmitted most, due to constant contact with other people and because the germs that transmit it are kept in a mild temperature environment.
For those who work outside, things are a little more serious, because in addition to pharyngitis and flu, if they don’t protect themselves, they can get sick with bronchitis and even pneumonia.

Many people get sick or get infected when they least expect it, simply by leaving without a jacket or not covering their mouths because they think that “it is only a moment” and nothing will happen to them.
Most respiratory diseases are short-lived and there are many medicines and natural products that help to recover from them quickly; but we shouldn’t be overconfident because they can lead us to something more serious.
In Latin American culture, it’s custom to take cinnamon tea, hot ‘atole’ (cornflour drink) and fruit punch, which are traditional drinks that greatly help in the prevention and treatment of these diseases.
Wrap up well, take care, don’t be overconfident and enjoy this season savoring the traditional drinks of our countries that are rich, inexpensive and beneficial to our health.
