Thanksgiving
There is so much to be grateful for in this country. Every day, I try to write three things down and keep the notes in a bowl in my office – overflowing with gratitude. In these difficult days with immigration, I am grateful that we do have a process to defend people against deportation. I am grateful that we have an open court system and kind workers at the court.
Although I like to write about all the things wrong with the current immigration system, I am also grateful that we have a way to change the system, a way to resist. I am grateful for the opportunity to encourage you to demand immigration reform and elect Congressional representatives who will listen and act for reform. I am thankful to have the opportunity to help people from all over the world, as they begin life in America.
