DREAMING....
The Kansas Missouri Dream Alliance is having a huge party to celebrate 10 years of its existence. So sad.... that they have to still be in existence, still dreaming of the day that Congress will pass legislation allowing them to be legal in the U.S. But, so glad that we have this opportunity to support these Dreamers.
KSMODA was established to help fight for the Dream Act, to help push for In-State Tuition. After DACA was established by President Obama, the KSMODA group helped with clinics and raising money for students to be able to apply. KSMODA does GREAT work and their stories are inspiring.
I am hoping that some of you will be inspired to buy a ticket to the KSMODA 10th Anniversary Gala, to be held on September 21st at The Venue. The anniversary gala will help us raise much-needed funds to help us become a 501c3 organization, and offset attendance costs for the United We Dream Congress later this year. Funds raised will support ongoing lobbying for immigrant rights, an end to deportations, provide opportunities for our undocumented immigrant brothers and sisters, and empower KSMODA to continue the fight for fair and equitable access to higher education locally.
At the Gala, the ticket includes dinner, an open bar (21+), dessert, dancing/live music, and a photo with the KSMODA Gala backdrop. There will be live entertainment, keynote speakers, guest speakers, and remarks from the founding members and leadership team.
The Gala will be held at The Venue in Leawood, KS. If you would like to avoid the processing fee, please contact us to purchase tickets directly from us.
