Time to resist
As immigration officers step up enforcement nationally, it is also time for communities to resist overzealous ICE officers and local police who are trying to enforce complicated federal immigration laws.
The ACLU is one of the best partners to have in our efforts to resist and I want to tell you about the latest tool the ACLU is providing.
On my phone, I have an ACLU app called MOJustice that will allow me to immediately record a police stop and upload it to the ACLU in case there is any question about police brutality or any officer violating someone’s rights.
Now, this type of recording application/tool exists for Immigration. Check out “MigraCam” in the app store on your phone and share it with anyone you know who may need it. Practice with it so that you know how to use it and know that you have the right to record the actions of Customs and Border Patrol Officers.
