Educate your children
One of the things that characterize an educated person is respect. Those who are educated are not aggressive or violent, they are measured in their comments and respect the points of view of others even if they do not agree with them.
When we talk about education, we don’t mean the one that is received at school, because that is actually academic preparation. There are people who will have gone to school for many years but still are poorly educated.
It is said that education is not learned, it is breastfed. And it is truly in the home where children and adults receive the best lessons.
For many people it is very frustrating to see how some parents allow their young children to throw tantrums in public, misbehave and even throw punches without being told anything. The obvious conclusion when observing them is: "If that is the case now, wait until he/she is a teenager.” That is why we must take the time and give the right importance to educating our children well.
For education to be effective, it is essential to start with the example. Children always imitate their parents in everything good and bad, so if we respect our partner, neighbors and do not offend or criticize openly, they will imitate us.
Another fundamental part is dialogue. If you talk, with your children instead of just scolding, they will learn to talk without fighting.
Likewise, you have to listen to them, even if they are small, they have something to say. Surprise yourself with their answers by asking the question from time to time: What would you do if ...?
An error that we often make is to compare them with their brothers, relatives or peers; remember that they have their own weaknesses and strengths and yes in some things they fail, but in others they can shine.
Educating our children well is not an easy task, but currently on the telephone or on the computer we can consult many articles about it and also talk about it to teachers or friends.
It is very true that education is the best inheritance we can give our children, and not only the academic, but the one that will make them better people in society.
