Welcome spring
Last Tuesday the 20th began the spring. Although we traditionally say that it starts on the 21st, the date varies depending on the March equinox.
“Equinoccio (equinox) comes from the Latin 'aequinoctium' ‘equal night’. It is one of the two moments of the year when the day and the night last exactly the same (the other is September 22 or 23).” With this, spring starts, which will last a total of 92 days and 18 hours, until June 21.
After this cultural fact, let’s go back to the station that is starting.
With the astrological change, coupled with the change in schedule, the short days and long nights are behind, giving way to longer and sunny days. The pleasant temperatures that await us (which by the way have been delayed a bit), invite us to go out and spend more time outdoors enjoying the colors, smells and sounds characteristic of the station.
If having been locked up affected you, if it gave you nostalgia or winter depression, forget about all that. Cheer up, go out, walk, get some sun and take away some of that milky color that you have all over your body. Remember that the increase in light and the longer days cause hormonal changes that help with emotional states. It is said that during this time, serotonin and melatonin increase, which increase joy and sexual activity.
But do not expect that nature will do everything for you, play your part. Decide to leave behind the bad times and start the season with more encouragement, lean on all the visual and physical stimuli that appear. In addition, at the end of spring, summer comes, with many other joys, so we expect a long pleasant season.
For some people the annoying part is the appearance of allergies, but everything good compensates for the discomfort.
Enjoy the spring, let it be a restart of the year without the winter limitations.
Happy Spring!
