Ingredients:

• 1 pound of pork in pieces $3.25

• 6 fresh and pitted prunes $1.00

• 3 ancho peppers $0.25

• ¼ onion $0.30

• 1 clove of garlic $0.50

• 3 cloves $0.50

• A pinch of cinnamon powder $0.50

• Salt and pepper $ 0.50

Process:

- With finely chopped garlic, seal the meat in the same pot where it is going to be cooked and let it brown a little so that it releases its own juice.

- Add a little water and let it boil until the meat is well cooked.

- Soak the peppers and plums in a little water and then blend them with the onion, cinnamon and cloves.

- Season this sauce with salt and pepper before adding the meat and let it boil.

- If necessary, add a little of the meat’s broth, if the sauce thickens too much.

This dish is served hot and can be accompanied with a small portion of white rice with chopped vegetables.
