Starting the day
It is said that due to the excesses that we commit on Saturday and Sunday in terms of eating, drinking, sleeping and even exercising too much, Monday is considered a particularly difficult day. But in this winter season ... every day is difficult.
Because the sunrise is very late, and mornings are cold, we don’t want to get out of bed.
It seems that all complications occur at the beginning of the year.
You have to leave the warm bed, get dressed, go out into the cold of the street, get on the ice-cold car and go quickly to the nearest gas station for a hot coffee, which for many is a routine without which it’s impossible to start the day.
On the other hand, due to the weather, outdoor work drastically decreases, so the economy starts slowly and unfortunately we bring the economic burden of what was spent in the past holidays. And even for those who can or have to work outside, it is complicated, because you have to be well protected so you don’t get a respiratory condition, very frequent at this time.
There are days when due to low temperatures, thermal underwear, followed by cotton clothes and then the jacket on top of everything, are the minimum garments necessary to go out. All of that is already enough clothes, and if we add to that the extra pounds that we gain in the celebrations, it is —to say the least— uncomfortable, to work like that.
But that's the way things are and if you don’t think so, you have the Republican alternative: “go back to your shithole,” the Democrat: "We have to keep fighting", or the most popular among Hispanics: “So you wanted north, right?"
Cheer up!
