Internet traps
It’s undeniable that the Internet is a very useful tool for work or study, also for entertainment and to look for things and places. From where a city or country is, to even find our favorite restaurant, as well as to inform us or clear up any doubt, we constantly access the network.
But the fact is that there are many sites on the Internet that may be lying or giving false information, either because it’s very difficult to corroborate or simply because they are poorly done, and sometimes we blindly trust it because “we checked it on the Internet.”
On the other hand, whether it be for leisure or out of curiosity, we enter places where we could “develop or increase” our bad tendencies or deviations. Such is the case, for example, of anorexics, who access places where other people teach them tricks to vomit, fill up faster or how to take laxatives or diuretics, etc. The same goes for sex addicts and even thieves or murderers that can learn and perfect their techniques in many specialized places.
This in regard to adults, the case of children is even more serious. Many people let their children play with tablets, cell phones or computers without having the precaution to put parental locks to avoid accessing sites that are not suitable for them.
In addition, there are many sites that are identical to certain official websites but are not legitimate and they are used to take money away from us or to obtain bank or personal account information.
In another case, on a normal day at work or at home, you may be looking for an image on the Internet and sooner or later a girl in a bikini or sexy clothes will appear that has nothing to do with the item you are looking for, and you could fall in the doubt or temptation to see it and there you get “hooked.”
The Internet is essential in our daily lives, but remember that hackers (cybernetic pirates) are smart guys who use their wits to steal, create confusion or just to have fun.
