On Dec. 11, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m., there is a Community Open House, Health Fair and Immigrant Rights Forum that is free and open to the public.
There will be presentations by talented students from Schlagle High School, as well as services provided by different community organizations, a Kid Zone for fun with the family, a couple of exercise events, help with College funding applications and much, much more.
The students at Schlagle have created a vision that “together, we will have a better community”. With their teachers and support from the School District, and volunteers from the community, the students have planned an awesome event. The Health Fair will encompass basic medical screenings, sports physicals, flu shots, mental and physical health resources, and legal resources for Immigrant families.
F.L. Schlagle High School is located at 2214 N. 59th St. in Kansas City, Kansas, and the doors open at 5:00 p.m. for this event. It is free and there will certainly be something useful for everyone who attends.
Hope to see you there.
