Demanding support from our elected leaders

This Thursday, Jan. 12, at 6:30 p.m., MORE2 (the Kansas Caucus of Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equity), along with Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation (AIRR) invite you at Overland Park Christian Church — a place of safety, solidarity, and commitment with and for our immigrant and refugee families. Local leaders will be present to affirm their commitment to keeping Kansas a welcoming community for all.

In these times of uncertainty, organizations like MORE2 and AIRR talk with mayors, legislators, and police chiefs to make clear the anxieties of our community. But, it’s important that those affected —members of the immigrant community— are present at these meetings in order to validate their concerns.

Meetings like the one on Thursday are a good opportunity to make your voice heard. We look forward to seeing you there!
