Don’t throw away food, reuse it

In the Christmas season there are certain dishes that we must know how to enjoy and get all the possible advantages from the investment that we made in order to enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner, and such is the case of the famous turkey or the marinated leg.

For example, for those families that wish to see the turkey cooked whole in the middle of the table as part of the decoration, we recommend that you have recipes handy that afterwards allow you to use the turkey for another dish, that is to say, maybe the next day you can marinate the turkey in marinade to make sandwiches or you can make a hominy (pozole) with turkey; some people also tend to make turkey with mole. Given all the aforementioned, it is recommended that the main preparation not be so seasoned or sweet in order to use the meat afterwards in a salty dish.

In the case of the leg, which in the majority of cases is marinated or with plum, can also be reused the next day to make some sandwiches or a torta with salted bread as it is known in Mexico.

The most important thing is economizing and not throwing away any food. Remember that you can store cooked food that is leftover and use it the following week, of course bearing in mind the proper precaution with the conservation of frozen foods.
