On Nov. 20, over 50 individuals from Colorado to Kansas City to Independence, gathered outside the main gage of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in honor of Chelsea; and to support the commutation of her sentence. Among the protestors was retired Army Colonel Ann Wright, who was one of the speakers that addressed the group.
Chelsea Manning has served over 6 years of 35-year sentence for releasing documents about US actions in Iraq, including data on collateral civilian targets, the use of torture by US forces and the targeting of reporters.
