First Diocesan Training EPAVE
On Oct. 27 and 28, the Hispanic Ministry of the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas, led by its director Fr Gianantonio Baggio CS, held its first Parish Training to V Encounter (EPAVE) in advance of the process of the Fifth Encounter. It had the motto "Missionary Disciples Witnessing the Love of God" in preparation for the National Encounter to be held Sept. 20-23, 2018 in Dallas, TX.
The event was held at the Parish of Our Lady of Unity in Kansas City, KS, and was attended by representatives of several Hispanic parishes belonging to the Archdiocese: Our Lady of Unity, Saint Paul, All Saints, Blessed Sacrament, Saint Patrick , St. Mary / St. Anthony, The Good Shepherd and St. Peter's Cathedral.
The session included several activities as dynamics for the participants to get to know one another and become more integrated into the group; Workshops that dealt with various themes presented by Fr Baggio, Marisol Villa, Manuel Soto, MarÃa Orozco, Carmen and Jonathan Oregel. There was singing practice; Prayers such as lectio divina; Concluding with a plenary where each group presented their work. There was also a discussion time for the pre-programming of the "Parochial Encounter" in each church.

The V ENCOUNTER process aims to reach the opinion of one million Catholic leaders in 175 Dioceses of the United States to present to the Bishops of this nation an updated picture of the reality of the Catholic Church in the United States.
