2nd. annual business expo



On Nov. 12, the 2nd. Annual Entrepreneurs’ Expo “Advancing Your American Dream” hosted by the Olathe Latino Coalition and Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Affairs Commission, took place at the Johnson County Administration Building in Olathe, Kan.


This bilingual expo attracted around 120 participants that attend several workshops in Spanish and English that included: Protecting Your Business, Creating a Brand for Your Company, Creating Client Loyalty. Some of the main themes that were discussed included tax payments, the use of social media, and insurance for investments related to the business.


The program concluded with a Panel of Resources for Hispanic Businesses (in Spanish), where successful Latino business owners shared their experiences.


Adrienne Foster, said that the Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Affairs Commission has had great success in partnering with the Olathe Latino Coalition with hosting Hispanic business forums in the last couple of years. “We look forward to 2017 and our next partnership.”


Some of the sponsors of the event included: the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City, the Kansas Department of Commerce, K-State University, Tropicana, City of Olathe, Bank of Labor, Arvest Bank, and New York Life.


Among the 25 exhibitors that showcased their products and services were: KIPU Designs, Olathe Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Bank, Costco, HEDC, El Centro, Inc., Redes Latinas, Enterprise Bank & Trust, Art Digital Studios, Zaragoza & Associates LLC., Farmers Insurance, Olathe Chamber of Commerce, 2más2KC, Vebe Media Consulting, Soccer Nation, Ameriprise Financial, and Score.
