Divorce from United States

If you married by law in your country, but now you live in the United States and you are separated from your partner, you can process your divorce from this country.

You don’t need to hire a lawyer in your country to process a divorce that is likely to be more expensive and slower than simply consulting with a family law lawyer here where you live.

It doesn’t matter if your partner is still in your country, or if both are in the United States. If you live in the United States, a divorce processed in the United States is valid.
