Building our future

On Nov. 15, representatives from Local Unions visited the Center Middle School in Kansas City, Mo. to introduce them to the students. They provided them with information about the career opportunities that are available in the construction industry.

Members from the Carpenters, Painters, Brick layers, Labors, Electricians, and Cement masons answered questions formulated by the students.

This event was in response to actual situation that the construction industry is facing. “As the skilled workforce in the construction industry retires, contractors are struggling to find manpower to fill these positions,” said Alex Gonzalez from Gonzalez Construction. “There is a great opportunity right now in the construction industry for individuals looking for a career that can provide a better life and future for their families.”
